The American Board of Sexology holds in great esteem those who have gained the highest degrees in subjects dealing with sexology, and experience gained in clinical, head to head interactions with clientele in real life situations. M.D.’s, Ph.D.’s, D.S.W.’s, Psy.D.’s and others currently working in clinical setting dealing with human sexuality are invited to apply for certification by The American Board of Sexology.  Please read the requirements to become a Certified Sexologist or a Diplomate.

This certification prefers a finishing degree of a Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate or Ph.D. in Psychology, Human Sciences, Nursing, Psychiatry, Medical field or any other related field including the study of sexology. Other certifications in sexology or sexual therapy from a recognized organizations will be taken in consideration. Board Certified Diplomate is for the highly specialized Sexologist with a post graduate degree and working in the field of Sexology.  This professional typically hold a Ph.D., M.D., Psy.D. or other qualifying degree of higher education or a finishing degree in the field of Sexology. We have a lower price entry point for the college student or entry level professional not yet qualified in the profession but working on becoming a Clinical Sexologist.  Becoming a member and listing yourself  shows that you are serious about your profession. By making yourself visible allows other professionals the potential to offer you an opportunity to work within their practice. Only $8.25 a month.

The Retired Sexologist Mentor Membership is designed for those professionals who no longer have a regular working hours, working with new clients, or does not have an office of practice, but still want to mentor young students in the field. The lower price point is in respect for professional not bringing in a traditional business income.  Only $8.25 a month.
