Jay Watts (She/They) is an Affrilachian Queer Sexuality & Diversity Scholar as well as the Radical Executive Officer & Founder of The Center for Empowered Sexual Wellness, LLC. located in Austin, TX. She has a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education from the University of Louisville; Master of Art in Human Services from Eastern Kentucky University; Master of Education in Cultural Foundations of Education; and almost completed with a PhD in Mental Health with a focus in Sexuality from Walden University in 2022. They have over a decade in Sexuality and Justice, Diversity, Equity & Belonging professional work. With over 10 years of experience in sex coaching and professional tailored expertise in sex counseling in various settings, populations, and clinical needs, Jay brings extensive knowledge and background. In addition to being a Sex Counselor, Educator & Coach for her company, The Center for Empowered Sexual Wellness, LLC (The CESW), she is also a Clinical Sex Counselor Consultant for Washington Wellness Institute, LLC of Cleveland, OH. Jay is a Certified and Board-Approved Sexologist through World Association of Sex Coaches and the American College of Sexologists International, a Certified Sound Therapy & Sounding Healing practitioner, and a Reiki Master. She is finalizing supervision for AASECT Sex Counseling & Education certification. Jay is a sex and cultural research with an esteemed peer-review publication history. Jay is currently focusing her dissertation journey on exploring the role of sexual racism on sexual satisfaction and sexual shame of Black Women in the United States.
