Dr. Vincent G. Capano, 60 of Sarasota, Florida passed away May 23, 2014. He was the son of Gregorio and Josephine Capano, the brother of Josephine Capano, Anthony and Donna Capano, and Betty and Tony Ferrini. He is survived by his son Vincent and Berta Capano II, daughter Marissa and Michael Lesselroth, step daughters Heather and Michael Reed and Nivy Pavlat, and six grandchildren: Kayla, Brianna, Isabella, Benjamin, Logan, and Gianna, as well as the mother of his children Kathy Conley. He also leaves behind his fiancé Jennifer Laritz and her beloved family.

Dr. Capano was the founder of Cambridge Health Associates, LLC, as well as the Domestic Violence Interventional Program, one of the first domestic violence programs established in Sarasota County. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, he provided therapeutic services to clients for more than 20 years. Dr. Capano was a board member of the Comprehensive Care Center in Sarasota Florida. He served clients in four counties and worked within the judicial system to provide mental health services for many children and families. He also mentored beginning counselors and collaborated with colleagues from other mental health agencies in the Sarasota County area.

Dr. Capano has touched more lives during his lifetime than any of us can possibly imagine. His devotion to family and work ethic are what he is best remembered for. He was a kind, passionate man who loved the outdoors and spending time with those closest to him. He will be greatly missed.
