The chapters in this sixth edition have been thoroughly revised, with more than 400 new research citations (many 2019 references). The revision also features original data from over 13,000 undergraduates who revealed their sexual attitudes and behaviors.
This sixth edition also reflects an awareness of changes in gender terminology in our society. Where appropriate, the term cisgender has been used.
The theme of the text remains the same: to encourage you to make informed, deliberate sexual decisions. In this regard, making informed/deliberate decisions involves being aware of the options/consequences of the various choices, making a decision, and following through.
