Dr. Benjamin Hirsch is a psychologist who has devoted some twenty years of his practice to helping persons who are experiencing chronic physical pain learn to better cope with that pain. He does that with a program of psychological pain management which he has designed.
Dr. Hirsch specializes in psychological pain management. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Pain Management and a Fellow of the American Board of Family Psychologists. He is also an Associate Member of the American Association of Interventional Pain Practitioners. He serves as a Consulting Editor (for psychologically related subjects) for their journal, Pain Physician. Dr. Hirsch has written and lectured extensively on this subject. The first person in Hofstra University to earn a Ph.D., Dr. Hirsch is also a member of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society of Psychology.
