Dr. Jared Boot-Haury (they/them) is a queer board-certified and licensed clinical psychologist and kink and poly-affirming AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and Certified Sex Therapist Supervisor in San Francisco. Their clinical areas of interest include identity exploration, psychosexual concerns, anxiety, and depression. Evidence-based approaches to treatment he utilizes include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and emotion-focused therapy (EFT); they completed training in EFT through the International Society for Emotion-Focused Therapy and CBT training through the Beck Institute. In addition to providing psychological testing services, Dr. Boot-Haury is a certified member and mentor of WPATH and is competent in mentoring other clinicians to provide surgical assessment letters for transgender and gender diverse clients. Their goal is to help clients feel safe, understood, and supported on their journey toward self-acceptance and healing. Dr. Boot-Haury works at Kaiser Permanente as an assessment psychologist and serves APA's Division 44 (Society for the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity) as the Co-Chair of the Committee on Consensual Non-Monogamy and the Public Policy Committee Co-Chair.
