Leon Sankofa has been working as a mental health practitioner for more that twenty-five years. He opened Family & Youth Foundations Counseling Services in 2001 and Parallel Behavioral Services Inc in 2013 employing dozens of licensed clinical staff members and intervention workers that provide a cadre mental health services in three different locations in Virginia. For the last 22 years, Dr. Sankofa has specialized in providing community based education on Childhood Sexual Trauma\’s. He has been successfully treating adults who have experienced Childhood sexual trauma\’s that impact their current sex life, intimacy, relationships and trust. Dr. Sankofa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. In addition to his work as a therapist, he is a Hypnotherapy Instructor providing Hypnosis certification courses for other clinicians.
