Dr. Melanie Jones Owen spent the first 20 years of her career as a university professor and college dean. During that time, she also accumulated many years of experience as a Sexuality Coach and Sexuality Educator. She initially earned a Doctorate in Education (2006) and later decided to pursue a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (2021). Her psychology specialization is two-fold, with one focus in the area of Organizational Cognitive Neuroscience (OCN), and another focus in Human Sexuality and Sexology. Dr. Owen understands the dynamic influence that our sexuality and sexual wellbeing serves in every facet of our lives – including our occupational work. She believes that work and sex are highly interdependent in helping to establish fulfilling home and personal lives and seeks to help clients enhance their knowledge and self-awareness so that they can perform at their highest and maintain fulfilling relationships. Dr. Owen is experienced with LGBTQ sexuality, M-to-F and F-to-M transition, bi-gender, bisexuality, sexual performance coaching, sexual coaching, surrogate partner therapy, sexual addition, sex education, sexuality confidence building, relationship sexual conflict, and intimacy coaching.
