I am currently the Senior Educational Administrator for the Institute of Authentic Tantra Education (IATE). The IATE is the first and only school for tantra as a holistic healing modality in the western world that is both lineage approved and government certified. Our work is based in teachings from the Shangpa Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism, blended with contemporary western somatic science. We focus on addressing issues of sexual trauma. I have been a vajrayana tantra practitioner in the Shangpa Kagyu lineage since 2014 and working in the field as both an educator and administrator since 2017. I was an award winning instructor at the University of British Columbia until 2020 when I transitioned to a full time position with IATE. In that role, I have been instrumental in obtaining government certification for our Authentic Tantra Certification Program. My background in Western philosophy (with a focus on political philosophy) led me to the limits of dualistic thought, and has formed a perfect launching point into the non-dualistic and practically applied traditions of the East. I am fortunate to have a vocation in which I live what I teach. (Please note that my time is devoted to administration and teaching, and not to promotion and social media.)
