Healthy Intimacy in Marriage

Author, speaker, and creator of the Blessed in the Bedroom course for married couples, Laura Gallier sheds light on the importance of sexual intimacy between married couples, opening the door for meaningful conversations in the church and among marriage leaders.

Though sexual intimacy can be a source of conflict in many marriages, when the topic is not addressed, it can open the door for destruction of the marriage and family.

“Before we’re married, Satan does everything he can to get us into bed together. After we’re married, he does all he can to keep us out,” said Laura.

The topic of sexuality is fun for some, and for others, it is the most painful and awkward part of their marriage. Sexual intimacy is a blessing and a biblical topic that you can address with the married couples you work with.

Laura and her husband help married couples understand that God’s profound purpose for sexual intimacy in marriage encompasses the spiritual, emotional and physical.

How can you learn how to dispel cultural lies and shame surrounding sexual intimacy for married couples?

“So often we associate sex with shame, and we drag that shame into the bedroom,” Laura said. “We help people to rid themselves of shame and begin healing. We offer language to invite God into the conversation and pray about sexual intimacy and inspire authentic healing conversations.”

You too can break the silence from the church and address taboo topics regarding sexual intimacy to help married couples take false guilt out of the equation.

How can you as a marriage leader remind married couples that sex can be so beautiful and lifegiving, and that God cares deeply about their sexuality?

Join us for this special Up Close and Personal and further learn how you can help married couples renew their minds around sexual intimacy.
